Mussandam,Oman

November 2012

I got here to Dubai,September of the year 2012.Was such a newbie then,so afraid to travel alone because of the exaggeration of the stories being told to me before my flight. That UAE is a conservative place, that in here women should wear decent clothes. That this and that.

So since ate Lai was the one who introduced me to several eating places and hang-out places here. She decided to invite me to join her and her choirmates because they are planning to go to Oman.

My first reaction is,will it be safe?We will cross from border to border?I had my hang-ups but then I chose to join them.

Later did I found out that here is the exact place where I can meet hon.

The journey started from Deira City Centre, the pick-up point where our group and the group of other travellers will ride the coaster which will head us to Oman.

The travel was quite long.It was a long,no traffic journey for the four of us.

But t'was a lot of fun.

The signature Landmark picture.
Going to the boat.

After the boat travel wherein they will stop by for the passengers to try fishing.Others can have their choice of swimming at the beach.
The beach was a bit "rocky" and the sand was not that white, but the water is clean, and the serenity of the place is to go for.

You can also have a choice of riding the banana boat or just  have a boat ride to tour around the place.

Yes,we all started selfies.

The boat operator allowed us to have a pic here.

The place is good overall, the view was very nice and peaceful.See the background and this Indian lady peacefully having her siesta.

The food was not very tasteful though,do better if you will come there to bring extras, just in case it will not fit your tastebuds.

But it is a good place to visit, with a very affordable budget.

Til our next journey.

Jumeirah Beach and Burj Al Arab as the backdrop

October 16,2013

This was last year, when we all decided to have a sneak peak of Jumeirah beach early in the morning, for sunrise, and to celebrate the Eid holiday.

Ron,ate Lai and She were the joiners of waking up at 5am and heading to Jumeirah beach before the sun rises.

I always dream of having a picture with "the" Burj,so when ate offered me that it is nice to go there,i immediately agreed.

Jumeirah beach is a part of the long stretch beach resorts near my previous abode. We arrived there around 6AM,and we were joined by those few early birds, running and jogging around the beach.

Upon arriving there,I can't help but admire the view, and thanking ate that she brought her DSLR to have a vivid capture of the beach and "the" Burj.

It is a nice place to have picnics, perfect for get togethers and for families. And everything here is for free. You just have to bring your own mat and food, and voila!

These are some of the highlights captured by ate Lai's camera...

The Dancing Fountain at Souk al Bahar

January 13,2014

Ron and I decided that if we will go somewhere else,it should be to a place which we haven't been.So that we will both feel that it is our first time,so in one of our discussions,we once touched the topic about this dancing fountain in Dubai Mall which was mentioned by Aimee,a friend from work.

The original plan though is to go to Creek Park,to spend the night walking there and roaming around the park, but with a very bad weather, second option was just to spend the night to somewhere close(to him),because he works in Dubai Mall.

His suggestion made me giggle because part of my bucketlist is to see the dancing fountain. And we did.

We went to Souk Al Bahar, sort of a market, because souk means marketplace in UAE.It is situated behind Dubai Mall, and were surrounded by people from all walks of life.Waiting for the dancing fountain's appearance which happens every 30 minutes, which finishes at 11PM.

We headed to Serafina's,an Italian restaurant and this good waiter guided us to a nice place where we can find a perfect view of the fountain.

We ordered food, and while waiting for our food to be served,we finally saw the dancing fountain,at its finest.:-)

That is only a bonus, because being in Souk Ak Bahar is also the perfect place to have a perfect view of Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building which will double your amazement.

The experience was both magical and captivating, the first time I saw the fountain,it is like your watching a movie, mesmerizing and astonishing.

Since we stayed for a long time time,we walked and enjoyed watching the surroundings of the place and enjoyed taking photos taking advantage of the cold climate.

We next plan to dine inside Burj Khalifa, and experience going at the top, hopefully soon, checking my bucketlist.

I have an overwhelming addiction to photos,so just bear with me,lol!

Til our next blog.miu,miu...
