My very first haircut in the UAE

May 10,2013

Would you believe that it took me almost 8 months to have my hair done,or even been touched here in Dubai, well that is a fact. After several months of thinking who could be the potential caretaker of my hair,I finally gave in and decided to have a trim.Yes,I have been doing a trim for my hair the past months, which I myself is also confident that I can do a better job than the stylists here,hehe...But when one time,I happened to pass by in front of Almaya Supermarket, this charming Filipina lady gave a flyer saying that the salon has Filipina stylists and hairdresser, and I wanted to try it.

Having doubts still,it took me another 2 days to come back to her and assist me.(This happens after a postponed date,a very low mood, and so forth).Thinking that I have to feel better and uberly gorgeous, plus to remove the dryness of the tips of my hair. This ate led me to the house of beauty.

The salon is called Meteor Garden,it is a spacious salon located in Satwa, they have friendly staff, sorry to those Chinese hairdressers that I have rejected, but my reason is valid,I like a Filipina's touch,hehe..

Let me first tell you about my dilemma everytime I am having a trim or a haircut.

My hair is my crowning glory, and so does everybody,my comfort zone,I feel like when my hair is down,it radiates more beauty on my face. That is why everytime I am having a haircut, and also hearing horror stories about bad hairdressers,I am having chills,as in literal chills.

But ate Nora, the hairdresser who handled my hair is different, she is very careful because I detailedly told her the standard "trim" measurement for me.

And with the way she handled my hair,it was perfect. So I got her number,we actually exchanged numbers and promised her that I will constantly look for her when the next trim for my hair will come. She even used this very good quality iron to fix my hair, even gave me good deals about hair coloring.

My day ended so happy and with content that I managed to give up my night run because I don't want to pigtail my hair, which is so gorgeous. :-) xoxo
While ate Nora is looking for the blower, she is actually shy to have her photo with me,but she is really very nice.
After giving me a trim and ironing my hair, really feels gorgeous,I feel like I am in a shampoo commercial.

Whew!i don't know what to say.But to summarize,I think I am a bit sad and lost...find me..,Why?I also don't know why...So many things happened in my life now.And yes,I am not in my home, mother land now.I am here in Dubai since last year,I have come here from a one month tourist visa. All was well,I got a job,and then after seven months from my first job.I got a call from a hospital. So I decided to resign and go on for a new chapter of my career life.

I am Dubai based now,due to work.I just finished my job from a fertility clinic in Dubai Healthcare City. Now I will be starting working in Welcare Hospital Garhoud.Few days,I had to leave Dubai, and be adopted by my good friend Mau.

I am now here in Al Ain just for a visit, but will be back tao Dubai in few days.

I have been here for like twice, since last year. This was one of the places that I have been since I got here in Dubai.

Al Ain is province, but what fascinates me was the sands that I have been seeing while travelling before reaching the place. You can also see the huge rock formation along the way.But what is more awesome was seeing the huge number of camels along the way.Yes camels, would you believe.:-)

I am more than thrilled to share you about my life and whereabouts here in the UAE,let this just be the beginning of another adventure,we will begin this...after 8 months in Dubai.

I will talk to you about Al Ain later on,meanwhile, lets me just start with some of the locations that i have learned to love while starting up my life here...

The RTA bus in which you have to use the NOL card( rechargeable card) to get into the bus,you have to tap the card to the sensor upon entering the bus.The bus also has separate area for male and female passengers, how cool is it!
The front side of the building of my first job in Dubai, this you can see while riding the bus.
The street side before you enter the Metro Station(train station),this a staple mode of transportaion in Dubai, majority of the expats or even the locals called Emiratis use the train to go to where they are destined to go because of the convenience(it stops all major locations like malls, internet city, banks).
The street of Dubai Healthcare City, pedestrians are accustomed to obey traffic rules and follow the traffic signs, otherwise a fine of 300 AED will be given to you,I am a living example,I will talk to you about that on my succeeding blogs.
One of the entrances of the DHCC Metro Station, looks like the entrance of an airport,i can attest to the cleanliness and orderliness of the place.
See the elevator,it's really like an airport.
The platform of the Metro Station, this is the Burjuman station, which is also the a part of the green line. The Dubai Metro Station has two lines, the green and the red line.On my way to work,I have to take  the bus going to Jaffliya Station, then take the red line going to Burjuman station, and then transfer to the Green line and then head to the Dubai Healthcare City metro station. When i feel sleep,or I get bored,or while waiting I just take photos of the stopovers,or the different places. This one I have taken after a day's work, tired and puffy eyes.

The City Hospital which is the neighbor building of the site of my first job.
The location of my first ever work in Dubai, which is called Dubai Healthcare City(DHCC)
